I have been working with children and students for over the last twenty years. Before receiving my Master's in Speech Language Pathology, I graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a degree in Biology and Psychology. After graduation, I got my teaching certification. I have been working with students in math and science the last three years in preparation for the ACT. I have two college-age children so I am very aware of the importance of good ACT scores. God has shown me my gifts over the years in how to encourage and teach others to work hard and do their very best; however, the most in important lesson to learn is to trust God with our life and plans.
After graduating from college with a degree in English, I decided to spend that summer getting a teaching certificate.
Little did I know that the Lord was directing my steps to what would be, not only my life's vocation, but also a life-long passion. Since that time I have never left the classroom---pursuing graduate degrees in English education and Biblical Studies and teaching students from pre-schoolers to adults. Truly God has directed each step, and now my desire is to help young people prepare for the paths where the Lord will ultimately lead them.
" Many are the plans in a man's mind, but the Lord directs his steps." Proverbs 16: 9.
